Make Friends with other Wives
Are you coming to Reno with your husband? Or do you have a child or are traveling alone? Being away from family and other like-minded women can be difficult. Life away from your home can be lonely. This is where International Women's Connection (IWC) comes in. We are international women that support each other during our time in Reno. Whether your husband is doing research at the University of Nevada, Reno UNR, working an internship, or you yourself are doing study or work, consider connecting with other women.

IWC Gallery
Our international women's events and activities have occurred since 2005. Over the years, hundreds of women from over 40 countries have found a connection and friendship right here in Reno. Take a look at some of the photos of our gatherings in the past.
What does IWC look like?
International Women's Connection starts with a once-a-month gathering during the UNR school year, in one of our volunteer's homes. Breakfast or lunch is provided. Each time we meet, there is a topic related to life in America, friendship or other helpful issue. We then have an activity like a craft, project or walk, to get to know each other.
We have sub-groups for single women, young mothers and wives. These groups sometimes do sightseeing and local city events together.
