Reno International House

Our House Living Options

We have three main community houses to fit your needs.  We also have other partner houses, and homestay families managed by volunteers for other needs.  Our houses are typically historic homes located in older neighborhoods next to the University campus.  Luxury, private living is not our specialty, rather lower-cost living environments for students desiring friendship and living in community.

Below are examples of some of our community rooming homes and apartments.  If you are looking for a homestay family, select that option on our application form.

Steps to obtain a housing space:
  1. Click on Apply to Live and submit an application (after you have reviewed our housing options and learn about the Reno International House here)
  2. Our membership assistant will contact you by email with available room and apartment options that match your preferences
  3. Once you've decided on a space, you will receive an e-membership document with house rules to review and agree to online
  4. After we have received that document electronically, and have countersigned it, we will send you a link to pay your security deposit and move-in fees online (if it applies to your room rate)
  5. Pay the initial fees (with a bank account, credit card or paypal). This will hold your space. We will then make preparations for your move-in. This is the final step required to make a valid membership.
